Strata were approached by Cabinet, a private art gallery client based in London, who were looking for floor tiles for a new gallery project. The client was very specific on the aesthetic required for the gallery floor. The surface colour and texture needed to be non-reflective with good texture.
After looking through our range of Natural Stone & Concrete Products, the client chose Strata Saxum Ignis/Basalt. We then worked together on the final finish, as this floor was for a private gallery with a lower footfall compared to that of a public gallery.
The client selected the ‘Sawn – Classic’ finish, resulting in a uniform, non-reflective surface to ensure a neutral background for the gallery through a mixture of electric and natural light.
Product used: ID135 -Saxum Ignis/Basalt – Grey 1000x1000x20mm – Finish – Sawn Classic
