Boasting prime position as ‘the largest fashion store in the world’, Topshop Oxford Street attracts over 30,000 visitors a day. Nearly 800,000 people a month. Approximately ten million visitors a year. That’s a lot of traffic for one floor. Which product was selected for this tall brief? The Technical Basalt Collection, from Strata Tiles.
Having successfully applied the new brand concept to the New York flagship, Dalziel and POW brought a fresh light to Topshop’s flagship store on London’s Oxford Street. Providing 90,000sqft of the very latest fashions, Topshop Oxford Circus required a modern solution for an area with an extremely high volume of traffic. The Technical Basalt Collection proved to be ideal for this project, with urban tones and sleek finishes that complement a high traffic environment to perfection.
‘We created an illuminated navigational signage and store directory package which is playful, while clearly assisting customers to circulate the space. Contrasting light and dark floor tiles create clear routes into the store, encouraging customer footfall to all corners of the store, and echoing the ceiling architecture above,’ explain the design team at Dalziel and POW. The industrial chic appearance and high durability that Technical Basalt offers provided the perfect solution for Topshop Oxford Circus.
